Follow these installation instructions to enable the WYSIWYG editor using the Deployment Framework

Requirements

How to install using deployment framework

  1. Download and install the Deployment Framework (Installation instructions)
  2. Open in your commandline tool the directory: <deployment-framework-install-dir>/deployment/tools/
  3. Type smwadmin -i wysiwyg
    This installs the WYSIWYG extension.
  4. Optional: It is advisable to run the SMW maintenance script after the installation to refresh all data:
    1. Navigate to <mw-dir>\extensions\SemanticMediaWiki\maintenance
    2. Type:
      php SMW_refreshData.php

    All semantic data in the database is refreshed.


Now the WYSIWYG Extension is installed and ready to use.

Clicking the 'Edit' tab provides editing pages with the WYSIWYG or Wikitext editor.

Upgrade notes

The easiest way to upgrade from an earlier version is using the Deployment Framework:

  1. Download and install the latest version of the Deployment Framework (Installation instructions)
  2. Open in your commandline tool the directory: <deployment-framework-install-dir>/deployment/tools/
  3. Type
    smwadmin -u wysiwyg

This updates the extension.
