Privacy Policy

Ontoprise GmbH believes that maintaining and preserving the privacy of user data is an important value. This policy covers personally identifiable information collected or stored by Ontoprise GmbH on its servers in relation to the wiki. Your data will be protected within the scope of legal requirements.

In the following, you will find information on which data are collected during your visit to our site and how these data are used.

Collecting and Processing Data

Any access to our wiki and retrieval of files stored at the server are being logged. Storing these data serves internal system-related and statistical purposes. Following items will be recorded: userid (HTTP auth), date, time, zone, request line, browser and http status.

In addition, the IP addresses of the requesting computers are recorded. Further personal data is only recorded if you provide this information voluntarily, e.g. when registering or sending an inquiry. You may have a wiki account, which you use to log into the forum and other associated services. You can use your account to add information about yourself to the wiki. Data you add to your personal page (e.g. http://smwforum.ontoprise.com/smwforum/index.php/User:<you>) using your account can be changed or removed by you by using the same mechanism used to add it originally.

Information added to personal pages is accessible to other users of the wiki. Users should ensure that personal information is not added to personal pages if such information should not be accessible to other wiki users.

Cookies

The site sets a temporary session cookie on a visitor's computer whenever a page is visited. Readers who do not intend to log in and edit may deny this cookie; it will be deleted at the end of the browser's session. More cookies may be set when one logs in to maintain logged-in status.

Page history

Edits or other contributions to articles, user pages and talk pages are generally retained forever. Removing text from a page does not permanently delete it. Normally, in wikis, anyone can look at a previous version of an article and see what was there. Even if an article is "deleted", a user entrusted with higher level of access may still see what was removed from public view.

User contribution

User contributions are also aggregated and publicly available. User contributions are aggregated according to their registration and login status. Data on user contributions, such as the times at which users edited and the number of edits they have made, are publicly available via user contributions lists and in the history mode of an article.

For visitors who do not log in and write a comment to an article, the IP address used is publicly and permanently credited as the author of the comment. It may be possible for a third party to identify the author from this IP address in conjunction with other information available. Logging in with a registered username allows for better preservation of privacy.

Right to information

Upon written request, we will inform you about all information which has been stored related to your person. You have the right to receive information about the data, origin and recipient of any of your personal data stored and the purpose of the processing of such data at any time.

How To Contact Us

Should you have other questions or concerns about these privacy policies, please send us an email to smw_support@ontoprise.de.
