TripleStore Basic: better query results and reasoning capabilities in SMW+

TripleStore Basic is a product from ontoprise that is installed on top of SMW+. TripleStore Basic adds to an installation of SMW+ the following features:

  • Embed SPARQL-queries in Wiki-articles to generate better query results and
  • Formulate user defined rules in the Wiki that are automatically processed ("Reasoning").

Better query results
SPARQL-queries in the Wiki:
TripleStore Basic allows you to formulate queries in SPARQL, a query language that is optimized for searching complex graph patterns in the Wiki. SPARQL outpaces the Wiki standard query-language (the "ask" query language) by allowing to join sets of result, for instance.

Reasoning capabilities
User defined rules in the Wiki:
The Rule Knowledge extension GUI, which is shipped with TripleStore Basic, lets you easily define calculation-, property chaining- and definition-rules. Moreover, you can apply pre-defined logical relations such as inverse, symmetric or transitive. Once defined, these rules and dependencies are used to enrich your SMW+ with extra information, to deduce additional facts and to avoid redundant annotation work.

TripleStore Basic contains the Jena triple store and can handle a subset of OntoBroker's ObjectLogic that is fully available in the TripleStore Professional.

Feature list

  • Embed SPARQL-syntax in "ask"-queries
  • Create rules in the Wiki that are automatically processed
  • Reasoning capabilities in the Wiki
  • free-of-charge and ready-to-use installer for Windows
